Pelangi School has a wonderful team of people helping to make the school what it is today. We strive to provide a supportive environment for all our diverse student body and faculty where everyone is equally valued, cared for, happy and secure.
Please note:
Pelangi School will only hire foreign teachers who have the correct Certificates & Degrees to be issued official working permits (KITAS) from Indonesia.
Pelangi School requires the following skills and credentials for International Teachers:
- Degree in Education (please note: we are unable to accept ESL or TEFOL certificates or a degree in any other field)
- Native English speaking
- Past experience working in a primary/elementary school
- An added bonus would be prior experience in Indonesia or proficiency in the Indonesian Language

Our team of excellent teachers both International and Indonesian are qualified, motivated and dedicated to providing the best possible learning experience for our children. Each year group has an Indonesian lead teacher and International teachers for focus lessons in English language, Arts, Math and Science.
Support Staff
Pelangi School is lucky to have a great support staff team from administrators to gardeners and security. Pelangi support staff are well loved by our children, a testimony to the important jobs they are doing in the everyday running of the school.
The Parent Board
The Pelangi Parent Board is an association of parents whose objective is to maintain good and close communication between parents, teachers, students, the local community and the Advisory Board of Pelangi School.
Important functions of the Parent Board include;
- Establishing a forum for constructive ideas and feedback where parents can openly express their views and concerns for the school
- Endeavouring to improve the school through fundraising efforts
- Reaching out to all parents to utilise skills and resources that will, in turn, enrich the lives of the children in their studies and play
- Supporting new families joining Pelangi.
The Advisory Board
The Advisory Board is a group of dedicated people, mostly parents of Pelangi children, who work voluntarily on different projects from overseeing the curriculum and teacher training to helping with environment, legalities, fundraising, marketing, book keeping and essential financial support of the school. The Advisory Board has made strong contributions to the school being what it is today and continues to enable it to function and grow. |
