Primary

Our primary program runs from 8.30am – 3.00pm and is divided into the following classes:

Classes 1 & 2 (MILE POST 1)
6-8 year olds

Classes 3 & 4 (MILE POST 2)
8-10 year olds

Classes 5 & 6 (MILE POST 3)
10-12 year olds

Apart from learning the core academic subjects in a bilingual environment, students are also engaged in arts, yoga and sports, as well as environmental studies in Pelangi School’s natural campus

During the primary years, students learn through IPC’s Mile Posts 1, 2 and 3. There are Academic, International and Personal Learning Goals to be achieved. Academic goals address the skills, knowledge and understanding students will develop in each of the subject learning areas. Personal goals focus on the individual qualities and dispositions that will equip students to be successful in the 21st century.  International goals help students to develop as informed global citizens, comfortable and confident interacting and operating on an international level. The activities and learning experiences are inspiring and relevant to children.

The IPC curriculum was chosen for its holistic foundations and high academic standards. It gives students a strong educational foundation with a smooth transition into the International Baccalaureate (IB), Cambridge or other future programs. The standards at Pelangi School meet or exceed those of government schools around the world, making the transition back into home countries or international programs as effortless as possible for our students.
